Mutual Aid Agreement with ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ Hallam University

The University has a documented mutual aid agreement in place with ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ Hallam University.

This is not legally enforceable, but is an understanding that if either University requires assistance due to an incident, a request can be made and the other institution will provide this on a "best endeavours" basis.

This assistance could include, for example, the use of facilities or staff.

South Yorkshire Partnership Working

The University works with partners across South Yorkshire as part of its incident planning and preparedness.

ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ City Council has an Emergency Planning Shared Service with Rotherham Council.

They work with the emergency services and other agencies to ensure plans are in place for incidents in ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ.

For incidents affecting the City, the Council or Police websites usually should provide information and Radio ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ will also be used to give out information.

Across South Yorkshire there is a Local Resilience Forum, which includes ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ City Council and other organisations that have a role in the response or recovery from an incident.

This group produces a South Yorkshire Community Risk Register, which identifies the hazards in the region and provides an assessment of their likelihood and impact.
