Rail

Located centrally within the country, ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓÆµ is at the heart of the UK railway network. Regular services operate between ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓÆµ and London St. Pancras (at a journey time of just over 2 hours), Birmingham (1.25 hours), with Leeds Manchester and Nottingham all just one hour away.

Trains to and from Aberdeen, Birmingham, Bristol, Derby, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Newcastle, Oxford, Penzance, Plymouth, Reading, and York.

Trains to and from Chesterfield, Derby, Leicester, London St Pancras (International), Liverpool, Manchester, Norwich, Nottingham and Peterborough.

Trains to and from Cleethorpes, Grimsby, Scunthorpe, Manchester and Manchester Airport.

Local trains to and from stations in Yorkshire, Chesterfield, Lincoln, Manchester and Nottingham.

The East Coast mainline train, running from London King's Cross to Inverness, stops at Doncaster station. At Doncaster, you can change on to a 30-minute train which takes you from there to ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓÆµ.

Coach

 - UK

National Express operates a comprehensive coach service to most parts of the country from ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓÆµ Transport Interchange, Pond Street (opposite the station). The fastest service to London takes about 3.5 hours.

National express also offers a third off travel for students and young people holding a Young Persons' Coachcard.

 - UK and Europe

Megabus coaches connect to destinations worldwide from Meadowhall Interchange, which is about four miles from ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓÆµ city centre. You can get a bus, train or taxi from Meadowhall back into ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓÆµ city centre, or take the tram directly to the University.
