The Centre for Machine Intelligence (CMI) welcomed Professor Tom Crick, Chief Scientific Adviser for the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS), for a visit focused on policy engagement and collaboration opportunities.
Led by CMI Theme Leads, Dr Susan Oman and Dr Denis Newman-Griffis, the visit featured presentations from University of ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓÆµ experts across multiple Schools, highlighting work in AI, digital policy, and the creative industries.
Discussions centred on strengthening connections between academic research and policy, and positioning ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓÆµâ€™s expertise within national digital and AI strategies. Professor Crick also emphasised the importance of ongoing collaboration, with opportunities to strengthen research-policy links.
