How did you feel when you heard that you were successful in being awarded the scholarship?
I was so delighted because, for me, a scholarship was more than financial support. Winning a scholarship has helped me focus on my studies and also encouraged me to keep on improving myself and focus on being more hard-working in order to be a worthy recipient of my scholarship.

I chose the University of ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ because it offered the MA Applied Linguistics with TESOL, which was a combination of my interests, language and language teaching. The University of ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ also has a high reputation for research quality and for welcoming international students from around the world.
What was your initial impression of ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ and the University when you first arrived?
When I first arrived in ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ, I was impressed by the beautiful scenery and friendly people in the city. It was an eye-opening experience because I could meet different students from different places and learn more about the world. Despite living far away from my home country, ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ feels like a home as I can seek support from the University.

Having the opportunity to meet the many professional academics and to study in such a high-quality educational institute is one of the best experiences for me. The University inspires me in my aim of pursuing higher education. Also, the cultural diversity in ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ has developed in me a new perspective and a better understanding of people from different cultures.
