Making real connections and lasting memories
It’s only halfway through the year, and international alumni events have already helped create countless incredible memories around the world.
If you’ve taken part - thank you for showing up, connecting with fellow graduates, engaging with your University, and making each event so special.
The ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ global community is shaped by unique locations and cultures, but these events all offer the same valuable opportunities: to expand your professional network with outstanding ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ-made professionals, strengthen your connection to your University, and feel part of a worldwide ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ network— no matter where you are.
Here are some of the events that have taken place:
International campaign launch events

Over 1,000 alumni came together to celebrate and support the University’s fundraising and engagement campaign, ‘Forged in ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ, Shaping the Future.’ Vice-Chancellor and President Professor Koen Lamberts, along with fellow University leaders, shared exciting updates and showcased ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ’s pioneering work to create a better tomorrow.
Graduates enjoyed an inspiring evening of networking, exclusive campaign film screenings, and thought-provoking talks by distinguished alumni — including Nobel Laureate Sir Richard Roberts in New York and astrophysicist and Study UK Alumni Awards 2024 Global winner Dr Emily Rickman in San Francisco.
My purpose is to create a home away from home in China for all University of ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ alumni—a place where we can connect, learn from each other, support one another, and unite as a community to bring honor to our alma mater."

ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ graduates stepped up to organise casual and friendly in-person hangouts, connecting with each other and remembering the good old days in ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ.
Alumni events in the U.S. are a great way to stay connected to ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ and to each other. From festive gatherings at Christmas to the recent spring event in New York, sharp minds are present and good stories are had. Whether it’s connecting with new faces or catching up with familiar ones, they remind us that the University’s impact doesn’t end at graduation or the UK.â€

Group launch event
- Jakarta, Indonesia
In February, ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ graduates launched a new international group in Jakarta, joining over 30 alumni online communities around the world. Shaped by each country’s language and culture, these alumni-led groups help you stay connected with the University and offer a vibrant, supportive network wherever you are.
It's truly incredible to see how engaged our ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ alumni community remains, no matter where they are in the world. They're always ready to get involved, whether it's by sharing their experiences with prospective students at an alumni panel event, organising local alumni activities, or coming to University-sponsored events like our recent Forged in ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ, Shaping the Future campaign launches. I may be biased, but I honestly believe ÎÛÎÛ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ has the best international alumni community in the world."
